Fragrance Barrette

A unique hand made fiber art barrette, created to be the platform on which you apply the Magicalrealistartist water based fragrances. The barrette emits the fragrance as you wear it throughout the day. Each Fragrance Barrette is made of a combination of materials including hand made, hand dyed, and upcycled materials. Shapes, colors, and designs vary. Each one is one of a kind.
Fragrance Barrettes are compatible with any water based fragrance. The Barrette will develop a unique color load as fragrances are applied and evaporate to release fragrance.

My latest scarves and barrettes are meant to be used with water based fragrances and to act as fragrance emitting fiber arts. Hand Embroidered Barrettes

Made from both handmade and upcycled fabrics and trims, especially the hand dyed silk fabrics, yarns, and ribbons by Magicalrealistartist. The upcycled items are small waste fibers and scraps from local quilters, crocheters, tatters, and knitters.

Silk Scarves

Although I am no longer operating the dyeworks, I do still have several hand dyed silk scarves available, either to decorate into Rune Scarves or use without added decoration. All my silk was purchased before the “silk problem” started. The scarves have hand rolled edges sewn with silk thread.

Rune Scarves

Rune Scarves are hand dyed silk scarves, as described above, which have also been hand painted with runes and other mystical designs. Contact me if you would like to discuss a commission.

Tapestries / Woven Fiber Arts

Some of my smaller woven items are made from my hand dyed yarns, but most of my weaving yarn is upcycled from waste fiber from local crocheters and knitters.

Sunprint

“World in a Water Drop”

A sunprint is a contact photograph using paint processes. This was printed from plants from my garden.

Quilt

I made this silk quilt entirely from test strips from testing dye batches for my custom silk dyeing.

I hand dyed the blue fabrics and the yarns and ribbons I used to make this rune cloak.
